Baruch’s Steven L. Newman Real Estate Institute, founded in 1996, provides applied research, professional and continuing education, and conferences to the real estate industry and to organizations focused on public policy. All of our professional and continuing education offerings are New York State-approved.
Our programs are designed for both current real estate practitioners and the New York region's next generation of real estate professionals. Our program's core curriculum includes: real estate finance, law, appraisal, facilities management, construction management, and licensing. It also provides an opportunity to focus on areas such as affordable housing, property management, development and capital markets. For more information, see the Steven L. Newman Real Estate Institute web site.
Our course offerings also include a new concentration on "green" buildings and Sustainability. Those already involved in one aspect of real estate can learn new skills, ranging from capital markets to title closing, to enhance their careers. For students with other backgrounds, including advanced education in non-real estate fields, the Green Certificate Program will ease the transition into real estate and help you become astute investors and practitioners.
Baruch College, located in the heart of New York City, has an unparalleled reputation as a leader in the Real Estate industry. We remain on the cutting edge, continually updating and expanding our hands-on, industry-driven curriculum.
