This class covers the elements of project planning, establishing resources and task assignments. This course will also cover: project plan formatting and printing; tracking project progress; working with multiple projects and integrating MS Project with other programs; fine-tuning task and resources; optimizing the project plan; coordinating resource pools; and consolidating projects. Prerequisite: Personal Computers & MS Office - An Introduction (ITS0090) or equivalent knowledge. Students enrolling in this course must have mouse and keyboard proficiency navigating the Windows environment.

This experiential course is intended to help you better understand the theory, processes, and practices of negotiation, conflict resolution and decision making so that you can be a more effective negotiator in a wide variety of situations. The course methodology is highly participatory, and utilizes class discussions and simulations in both one-on-one and group situations. The exercises will emphasize organizational settings, but the skills are applicable anywhere conflict occurs.

Master the tools used by Project Managers: work breakdown structure, critical path, task analysis, project plan, project scheduling and more. Gain the skills needed to plan, track progress, and stay focused on the end result. Where appropriate, students will learn PMBOK terminology and how it relates to certification.

A follow-up to Fundamentals of Project Management (PPM0001), this course embarks on a more in-depth study of task analysis, work breakdown structure, critical path, project plan, scheduling, progress tracking and reporting.
