The goal of this course is to help students develop accuracy and speed in keyboarding. Through intensive typing drills, students will learn the basic keyboarding skills required to type letters, memos and reports. Students will also learn how to format statistical materials, manuscripts, letter sizes and styles. Placement of footnotes and bibliographic references will also be covered, and recognized business standards will be stressed. Students will achieve a typing speed of 25 to 40 or more words per minute, learn to format and type tables from unarranged material and learn to proofread accurately.

Target Student: Those new to using PCs, those who currently use PCs and need greater typing proficiency.
