advisement center at 55 Lexington Avenue, Room B1-116 (entrance is located on 25th Street between 3rd Avenue and Lexington Avenue, Vertical Campus, first floor before turnstiles).

REGISTRATION BY MAIL
Send the completed registration form with your payment for the full amount of tuition, plus the
$25 registration fee to: Baruch College Continuing and Professional Studies, 55 Lexington Avenue, Box B1-116, New York, NY 10010. Please make checks payable to Baruch College.
($15 Registration if registering one month prior to the start of the class or you register on the web)


BOOKS AND MATERIALS
Please note that the purchase price of any recommended or required course materials,
including textbooks is not included in the price of the tuition, unless otherwise indicated.


CERTIFICATE REFUNDS

100% Credit or refund: Three business days before start of first course
75% Credit or refund: Within the first week of classes
50% Credit or refund: Within the second week of classes
25% Credit or refund: Within the third week of classes
0% Credit or refund: After the third week of classes


CERTIFICATE APPLICATION PROCESS
The application package requirements, submission procedures and acceptance policies below apply to students seeking certificates. Students considering a Certificate Program should first speak with an enrollment advisor.


APPLICATION PACKAGE REQUIREMENTS
1. Completed application form with the application fee paid
2. A written two-page statement of up to 250 words
describing:
a. Your career goals
b. Why you think the program will help
you reach your goals
3. A resume
4. Transcript for the highest level of education
completed


CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS

Students must complete all required and elective courses with an average of “B” or better to be
awarded a certificate.

•Students should follow the certificate requirements in effect for the term in which they registered for the first course toward the certificate. Students have up to three years to complete a certificate program and only courses completed within the last three years can be used towards certificate requirements.

•If a required class is no longer being offered, a substitution will be made on the advice of the
program manager. Students must complete the same number of classes listed as requirements from their initial term.

•Certificates will only be awarded to students who have formally applied and have been accepted into a certificate program. Students applying for the paid in full option must complete and submit the application requirements before the start of their second semester. Students may also apply for a certificate after completing course work.


COURSE REFUNDS

100% Credit or refund: 3 business days before the start of class
100% Credit or 50% refund: Before the start of the second class
0% Credit or refund: After the start of the second class
No refund or credit will apply to one day courses on the day of the course.
*A tuition credit must be redeemed within one calendar year of the receipt of the credit and
cannot be exchanged for cash after requested.

IRS EDUCATION CREDITS
If you are eligible, the Internal Revenue Services (IRS) allows you to apply for education credits for yourself and your family. The Hope Credit and the Lifetime Learning Credit are education credits you can subtract in full from your Federal income tax, not just from your taxable income. Use Form 8863 to claim either of these credits. IRS Publication 970, Tax Benefits for Higher Education, provides more information regarding eligibility and instructions.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
International students are welcome at Baruch. We offer extensive support throughout the visa
application process. Students holding an F-1 visa are permitted to study full-time at Baruch College CAPS. You must apply for this visa in your native country. You may contact a representative at issc@baruch.cuny.edu. Advice will be provided to new students concerning the documents required to apply for the visa. We also advise continuing students in maintaining compliance with INS (Immigration and Naturalization Services) policies. NEW INTERNATIONAL STUDENT APPLICATION CHECKLIST
Students may apply for an I-20 from Baruch College Continuing and Professional Studies by mailing in the following documents. Deadline for submission is one month prior to the start date of each term. (See English Language/ESL brochure for exact start dates.)

PLEASE NOTE: If applying for an I-20 through Baruch
College Continuing and Professional Studies, you
must complete a minimum of one term in the CABP
or ESL program before you may transfer elsewhere.

Full Time ESL Applicants seeking a visa must also
submit
• Original bank statement of family member or
sponsor in English no more than three (3) months

application (no cash)
Contemporary American Business Practices
International Applicants seeking a visa must also
submit
• Original bank statement of family member or

REGISTRATION FEES
The standard registration fee is $25. If you register one month or more prior to the beginning of
your class you will be eligible for the discounted registration fee of $15. The add/drop fee is $10
per class. For uncollectible checks, there is an additional $40 fee.

TEST PREP GUARANTEE
Eligible students may retake a Baruch College School of Continuing and Professional Studies (CAPS) test prep course free of charge, if the student receives the same score or below in comparison to their initial CAPS Diagnostic test on the actual exam. Eligible students for this policy must have attended all classes, taken all diagnostic exams, completed all homework and class work in a test prep course within CAPS. Students must also take the ETS exam within 6
months of completing their CAPS test prep course. Each student may retake the course once and must re-enroll within 1 year of taking the actual exam. Proof of ETS exam dates and results will be required. Students will be required to show proof of their initial diagnostic test results. These data will not be kept on file within CAPS. The Intensive TOEFL course is not included in the offer. For further questions, contact CAPS directly at 646 312-5000.
