Launch New Certificate Programs in International Trade Operations & Procedures
“We are pleased to launch new professional certificate programs in international trade operations and procedures. These programs build on Baruch’s considerable experience in offering degree programs in international business, as well as the decade long track record of the Weissman Center for International Business in delivering educational programs to Baruch students and to the international business community in New York City. By integrating this experience with Baruch’s Continuing and Professional Studies programs, our goal is to deliver a competitive, industry focused educational curriculum that will provide tools needed to achieve professional development goals in international trade.”

In the Fall semester of 2006 Baruch College will launch a series of certificate programs designed to give participants a competitive advantage in the many industries in our region that are engaged in importing and exporting. At the same time, these programs will help companies upgrade the skills of their employees to better serve global customers and meet evolving security and compliance requirements in a post 9/11 world.

Students will be able to take core courses that provide a solid base for careers in international trade as well as more advanced programs that provide deeper knowledge in areas of particular interest. Our instructors are experienced practitioners in their field who will provide practical, up-to-date information that students can apply. Course materials use the actual documents involved in import/export transactions and case studies based on day-to-day
business scenarios.

Whether our students are new to the field, entrepreneurs, or experienced professionals, our goal is to be a partner in their international success.
