NEW STUDENT APPLICATION PROCESS:


Students who are overseas may apply for an I-20 from Baruch College’s Division of Continuing and Professional Studies up to one month before the registration deadline (please see term calendar for specific dates).

The following documents are required:

  • Completed application form  
  • Tuition deposit of $400.
  • Original bank statement (must be checking or savings) and/or financial support document no more than three (3) months old.  (At least $ 21,225 Dollars) 
  • PLUS PROOF OF CONTINUED SUPPORT FOR THE FOLLOWING YEAR

Any two of the following:

  • Verification of employment on letterhead stationary. If self-employed- income estimate by a bank or private accountant
  • The most recent income tax documentation (for US citizen W2)
  • Property estimate issued by a certified accountant
  • Certificate of bonds or stocks
  • If the sponsor is a Company:
    • The most recent: “profit and loss statement” for the company.
  • A letter of financial support (affidavit of support).
  • Confidential Declaration and Certificate of Finance.

If you are receiving room and board from a friend or relative, you must have a notarized letter stating free room and board along with a photocopy of the lease, deed or rent receipt (4 consecutive ones) of the property.

  • Passport-size photograph of student.
  • Copy of your passport.

 

Please Note: If you would like a friend or relative to receive your I-20 in person or by mail, a written authorization must be presented along with all of your documents. Without the authorization the I-20 can only be picked up by the student or mailed directly overseas. No exceptions.
