Contemporary American Business Practices Certificate

This certificate is for individuals who want to become familiar with the processes, routines, and practices that American companies employ as they successfully compete in a global economy. The program is relevant for domestic and international students who are interested in beginning a career in business, enhancing their current career, or those getting introduced to American business practices so they can gain needed work experience before entering a more rigorous Masters in Business Administration, MS in Finance, and other business related graduate program. For international students, this full time, 18 hour per week program meets the requirements for an I-20 “Certificate of Eligibility” and allows students to apply for an F-1 Student Visa. Upon successful completion of the Certificate Program, students may be eligible to apply for Optional Practical Training (OPT), which is temporary employment directly related to the students field of study. The student must contact his/her International Student Advisor (ISO) to discuss whether he/she is eligible to engage in OPT, as well as what steps must be taken
